How much faster would your WordPress be with cache.lat?
Enter your site address. In about 20 seconds you will see how it responds today and an estimate of the improvement with cache.lat.
How we calculate the estimate
- We use the same method as the “Performance test” inside the plugin: the cache.lat engine requests your page from outside your server (like a real visitor) and measures response time (median of 3 requests), compression, page weight, images and scripts. No third-party service is used.
- Your site does not use cache.lat yet, so what we measure is its “live WordPress” time. We split it into network time (the round trip, which cache.lat does not change) and the time your server needs to build the page. With cache.lat that part drops to about 12 ms, which is what Apache takes to serve a ready-made file.
- For weight we assume that JPEG/PNG/GIF images converted to WebP/AVIF save between 25% and 50% (35% in the estimate) and that HTML minification saves about 4%.
- Scripts: cache.lat defers the non-critical ones. It never defers jQuery, WooCommerce, payment gateways or reCAPTCHA.
- The score uses the same formula as the “Performance test” inside the plugin.
- It is an estimate, not a promise: every site is different. Real results appear when you install the plugin and test again. We measure from one location, so the times can differ from what your visitors see.
Frequently asked questions
Is it really free?
Yes. Testing is free and does not require an account. The plugin is also free for up to 10 pages.
Do you store my data?
We do not store the content of your site. We only keep a temporary result for 10 minutes (so repeated tests do not overload your site) and a counter of tests to prevent abuse.
Why is the result different from other tools?
Each tool measures from a different place and with different methods. This one shows the server response and weight, which are what cache.lat improves, and it measures from the cache.lat servers like the plugin does. Once you install the plugin, its Performance test also measures LCP, CLS and TBT in your own browser.
Does it work with sites that are not WordPress?
You can measure any public site, but cache.lat only works on WordPress.
